Add more font sizes to your text

You can select font sizes by clicking on the Paragraph or the Font size buttons.

If you need more sizes you can edit the HTML.

You have changed the code,

from < span style="font-size: medium;">

to < span style="font-size: 25px;">

You may use px (pixels), pts (point size) or mm(millimeters) to adjust your fonts to the size you like.  You can even use decimals like 11.5pts or 5.6mm.

Add line break to your text

A hard return will give you a double-line spacing like this,

The big brown fox jumped over the clever cat.

The big brown fox jumped over the clever cat.

If you just want a single-line spacing like this,

The big brown fox jumped over the clever cat.
The big brown fox jumped over the clever cat.

First, join both the sentences together like this,

The big brown fox jumped over the clever cat.The big brown fox jumped over the clever cat.

Click on HTML.

Insert < br>

between the lines where you want to break.  This is how the code looks like after you have inserted the < br>
command,

Add more colours to your text

 

Click on the small arrow on the right of the Select text color button.

Choose More colors and select your favourite colour.

Note:  Colour codes are also called Hex codes.  It is in the format #RRGGBB.  R-Red, G-Green, B-Blue.  The range is from 0 to F, that is, 0123456789ABCDEF.  #000000 is Black, #FFFFFF is White, #FF0000 is Red, #00FF00 is Green, etc.

Using tables for better presentation

Select 2 columns and 1 row.
Cellpadding 5.
Border 0.  (You may try selecting Border 1 and see the effect.)
Alignment Centre.
Width 500.
Click Insert to insert the table into your webpage.
Place the text into the left column, and the image into the right column.

Remove formatting

If you copy text from your Microsoft Word or Excel file, you will find that you are unable to change the font size of your text.  This is because the Microsoft format is embedded into your text.  You may remove these formatting by transferring (or copying) the text onto your Notepad, and then re-copying the same text from your Notepad back to your BigSignboard page.  The formatting will be removed and you may then apply BigSignboard's format to them.  To call out the Notepad program, click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, Notepad.

Google Search

Google is currently the most popular search engine, besides Yahoo and MSN.  If you want your customers and friends to be able to find you on these search engines, you should type in the proper keywords into your website.  After you login, click on Mysite, then Configure.  Type your keywords in the box provided.  Make sure you type in your company name so that they can find you.  (Note.  You will not be able to search those keywords immediately.  Google takes about three months to update your keywords into the world database.  If you have your own domain name, it may be faster, say, in one month.)
